    UPDATE 2/26/26

For Windows users experiencing "Something went wrong - We're unable to authenticate you" error at the BofA website during account authorization, please follow the guidance provided below:

    1. Deactivate all Bank of America BIDs from Quicken.
    2. In Quicken, go to Account Settings > General tab and remove the Bank of America financial institution name and account number from each affected account. image.png
      1. It is recommended to temporarily rename the accounts using the last 4 digits of the account number to make identification easier during reconnection.
    3. Log in to the Bank of America website and navigate to:
      1. Security Center > Third-Party Site Access
      2. Revoke Quicken’s access under third-party access.
    4. Return to Quicken and complete the Add Account flow to reactivate.
      1. Tools > Add Account… image.png
        1. Proceed through the full reauthorization process when prompted.
    5. If you receive the error message “Something went wrong”, or "Sign in to bank of America failed. Please try again." This is likely due to high traffic.
      1. Please try again during non-peak hours (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM as a reference window).
    6. If any other errors occur, please contact Quicken Support for further assistance so they can escalate accordingly.

    Thank you!
