I would like to enlarge the description area on an invoice.

I would like the description area on an invoice to be larger or have the ability to make the box larger. I have to list items in the description area and it is not enough room to see what I have typed. I have to view as pdf and then go back to the invoice and edit if needed. It would be very helpful to see the entire description without going to preview pdf.

Yes, I concur. It would be nice if the New Customer Invoice dialog could be rewritten, to look more like the printed invoice and, among others, show the Description field's entire contents at all times, expanded over multiple lines as needed.
A more feature-rich text editor would also be welcome in this field.

For the time being, the requested feature is already available. On an existing invoice or one that you are just creating, you can always click on the Description field of a Line Item. Text that is longer than what fits within the dialog's mask will show up as a popup box. Simple text editing is available within that box.

For example, I created a line item with a long description. Clicking on the Description field shows this popup box:

For this issue described in this thread, it appears both Quicken Mac and Quicken windows have the same shortfall: a small, single-line Description area. While any amount of text can be typed in or pasted in, it's really impractical for entering or editing a long description, particularly for a description where the Quicken user wants to list several items or bullet points.

And unfortunately, hovering over a long description in Quicken Mac does not display as well as you show for Quicken Windows. Here's what I see hovering over a long Description:

Pretty useless and frustrating! Even the single line is clipped at the bottom so it's not fully visible, and I can't see the end of what I typed.

It should be possible to grab the lower right cover of the Description box and drag it to expand vertically. Or it should auto-expand to show all the typed text.
