date format

Windows 11 R67.10

It's my understanding that for date format in registers Q follows the Windows setting.

My task bar says Mon, 6/1/2026.  But my registers say 1-6-2026.   I think this started when I added the day to the taskbar.

How can I get Q to go back to the American date format?

For Quicken compatibility, your Windows short date format should be mm/dd/yyyy.

Both the task bar and Quicken follows the "Short date format" so I'm not sure what is going on for you.

In Windows 11, Settings → Time & language → Date & time → Change the date and time format
