Can i transfer Quicken Web to the Quicken Classic app , if yes then what all data can i transfer ?
if no then what else can i do, or do i have to buy a new quicken. @Quicken Anja
Thank you for your response. I previously used Quicken Classic for Mac on my old Mac, which I no longer have. I recently set up a new Mac, signed in to my Quicken account, and installed Quicken Classic.
Since cloud sync was always enabled, I can still see all of my accounts and transactions in Quicken on the Web. Is there a way to restore that synced data into Quicken Classic on my new Mac, or recreate my data file from the cloud data?
AGAIN, you can't restore from the file on QWeb. Ir's only a tiny subset of your entire file.
If you stored a backup to the cloud, you can restore from that … but NOT from the QWeb data file. It just doesn't work that way.
If you don't have a backup that you stored somewhere other than that old Mac, you're going to have to re-start from scratch. Sorry.
If you hold down the Command key and select File > New from the Quicken Mac Classic menu, there will be an option to "Start from Quicken Cloud Account (BETA)". Try this & see if you get satisfactory results (I don't know if Q Windows has a similar option or not). If you don't have your old Quicken data file this is probably your only chance to recover your old data. Good luck.
Hmm that's what i thought, well thanks for the confirmation luckily my IT company helped me to find the backup files it was in the trash haha
NO, you can't. Q's Web app only contains a subset of your Q data, and you can't Transfer/restore from the Web to your desktop.
But, more info is needed before we can help further.
When you do HELP, About Quicken … what shows as your Product, Release and "Subscription Valid until .."?
Why can't you restore from a backup that was created either manually, by you, or automatically by Q?
In non-Beta QWin, there's no such reaction to holding down the either the Win key or the CTRL key and clicking File > New Quicken File.
