How would you suggest categorizing your social security monthly payment?
Input the Net amount received into your checking account, then split the transaction, as such:
The 1st line is a positive number, and the remaining lines are negative numbers … resulting in the Net amount received.
I have another, similar, transaction for my wife.
You'll need to create the categories, and associate them with the correct tax line, but this is what works for me.
