REQUEST: When customizing a report, allow the user to limit categories by selecting one or more "category groups."
BACKGROUND: The Quicken file includes transactions assigned to all category groups: (1) Personal Income, (2) Personal Expense, (3) Business Income, (4) Business Expense, (5) Rental Property Income, and (6) Rental Property Expense.
GOAL: The goal is to create a BANKING » TRANSACTIONS REPORT which is limited to transactions where Category = all categories in the "Rental Property Expense" and "Rental Property Income" category groups.
ISSUE: When customizing the report in Tab Categories, the user cannot select Category Group = "Rental Property Expense" and "Rental Property Income."
Work-Around FAIL: Since all categories in the Rental Property Income & Expenses category groups have the suffix "(Rental)," you would think that the user could search by "(Rental)" and have the full category list limited to those results so that the user could then "select all" of those results. However, this search functionality does not work (known error CTP-12821). Also, sub-categories may not have this suffix.
Work-Around RISKY: The user has to review the entire category list and manually select the transactions which have "(rental)" in their name. This is prone to errors!!!!
