Hello
I have been having an issue since roughly April. This Fidelity Cash Management Account was working well - started using it exclusively since December for general expenses, checks, etc. Somewhere in early April, the transactions that would usually show up in the linked banking/checking account in Quicken - stopped updating. Probably was early May before I had time to dig into this. As I went back through the details in this account (which was created two or three years ago, initially with very few transactions) - I found that it pulled old data for miscellaneous transactions going back to 2003.
I am unable to delete this linked checking account successfully - meaning when I uncheck the "use separate checking account" in the main account setup window - and then recreate it - the same linked account is there with the old data.
About three times I have gone through the process in Quicken of unlinking all 20+ Fidelity accounts in the Quicken Acccount List. I deactivate them, erase the account # and Institution name in the general tab. Then go to Fidelity and remove all 3rd party access by Fidelity. Also went in and reset the Quicken Cloud data - hoping to reset everything.
Then I go back into Quicken and add new account, selecting Fidelity - then Login to Fidelity reauthorizing the desired Fidelity accounts back to an Authorized state, and carefully relink each account in Quicken. The same behavior returns.
I have also tried setting up a brand new Quicken FILE - to then add Fidelity to see what the behavior is. THAT process worked. I loaded all new accounts. I went in and did Account Settings on the Cash Management account and checked to create a new LINKED checking account in Quicken to manage the transactions. It was beautiful.
I can fix it with a new file, but I really don't want to hassle with the 20+ years of data across other current and older checking / credit card accounts, etc.
I did note that there are notations about issues with Fidelity with the new download process between Quicken and Fidelity - but I cannot locate any specific information there suggesting that my issue is directly connected there.
Has anyone else been thru this and found a workable solution?
