How do I "transfer" the old card data to the new card?
Hi @ccastoro1340,
Thank you for reaching out.
If you have already added the new account, you can move the transactions from the old account to the new one by following the steps below. Before proceeding, I recommend creating a backup of your data file.
Note: The Move transaction(s) command is only available in banking account registers. You can’t use it to move transactions into or out of investing, loan, asset, or liability accounts. Also, this process does not recognize or merge matching transactions automatically. To avoid creating duplicates, be sure to carefully select only the transactions you want to move.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
If you haven't done anything yet, edit the existing account (Tools menu→Account List) and on the Online Services tab, deactivate One Step Update, then on the General tab, delete the financial institution information.
Then go thru the activate One Step Update process using the new cards info. After the transactions have been downloaded, make sure that you eliminate any duplicates ensuring that the ending balance is correct. If it is off but you know there are no dups, check the Opening Balance of the account because Q will sometimes change it when doing an activation like this.
I would also enter a $0 transaction with a date that puts it between the old and new transactions with a notation that the account was changed at this point in history.
IF, by any chance, this is the AAdvantage move from BarclayBank Delaware to Citibank, I did very little.
My online access was unavailable for about 2 days, and when it re-awakened, the card account number had already been changed in Q as evidenced by doing TOOLS, Account List and click EDIT next to the account in Q.
When I actually received my new card, about a week ago, I went in and disconnected from BarclayBank and re-connected to Citi Cards … NOT Citibank.
I didn't need to create a new account, and since the download was continuous (except for those 2 blackout days), I didn't lose any transactions.
Thanks all. These are very good recommendations. @Notacpa looks like the easiest, I'll check and see (yes it was the AAdvantage account)
There's various opinions re: my approach, as variations of this issue have been discussed multiple times in the past.
TO ME, it's all one card/account. That the card issuer changed only impacts who Direct Debits my bank account for the monthly payment, I.E., almost no impact … which is why I kept it as the same account.
It's been suggested, in the past, that if you want to take note of the change in banks, you can always input a $0 transaction in the account to record this.
