When I update my brokerage accounts several transaction come through with an incorrect stock name. The correct stock name is in the memo field.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Hello @Brad P,
Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To help troubleshoot, I checked our internal tools.
It appears that you reached out to Support about this issue yesterday. Their recommended resolution was to deactivate the original accounts, then add them as new accounts and transfer any necessary history from the originals to the new accounts. Did that correct the issue? If not, what happened?
I look forward to your reply!
Have done that three times now and it does not help. Recently bought a new laptop and had Quicken support help me install a new version of Quicken with no data or connections to the previous version. A few days later it happened again. Somewhere in your system or the cloud there is a mapping issue.
This has gone on for over two years!!
Quicken appears to be unable or unwilling to fix this issue!
What is the financial institution?
How are you getting the downloaded information from them?
Look at your Quicken Security List (ctrl-y). Are there proper CUSIP IDs associated with the problematic securities? Are the mismatches always the same securities?
Brokerage is Janney Montgomery.

Thank you for your replies,
Are you updating the accounts using Web Connect/QFX, or are your accounts connected via Direct Connect in Quicken to download transactions when you run One Step Update? If you're not certain how your accounts are connected, you can navigate to Tools > Account List and check the Transaction Download column.
Thank you!
Yes brokerage accounts are set to Direct Connect.
Thank you for your reply,
To help identify the cause of the incorrect security names, please navigate to Help > Report a Problem and submit a problem report with the OFX file attached.
Please let me know once the problem report is sent.
Sent this morning.
Updated the accounts this morning and every transaction came through incorrectly as security name. Kristina this is absolutely unacceptable!!!
I have written a letter to your VP of Customer Care to complain.
The correct security name is in the memo field and the security name is something that I have never owned.
Thank you for your replies and for sending the logs,
The logs align with what is showing up in your Quicken, indicating that the issue is caused by how the data is being sent to Quicken. I can see the email traffic you shared from the financial institution's support references an OFX server change. Did they recently change their server? If they did, does that change coincide with when the issue started?
It looks like you've recently used other Quicken files to test the issue. Are you seeing the issue in all of those files, or is it limited to your main file? Are those files newly created, or older files that were used to test?
We haven't heard back from you in a while. Do you still need assistance?
Check back and let us know! Thank you.
