I switched from online reconciliation to reconciling to my paper statement. I have re reconciled backward month by month to find I'm continually off by $299.96. Am I just kidding myself that at some point I will find the error?

I had to do this on my personal checking account and after going back many months I was finally just off by a small amount and entered a balance adjustment.

I've always found that starting in the past and working forward was the best way to find a reconciliation problem.

Going newest to oldest means that things are reconciled before they even existed and makes coming up with a beginning balance impossible since Q calculates it based on the sum of all of the reconciled "R" transactions.

I'd look at your Opening Balance of the account to make sure it didn't get changed by Q when you needed to reactivate the account for One Step Update.
