Disappearing transaction?

I try to balance my account monthly. I haven't been able to do this since April because every time I try, there is one significant transaction (a transfer in) that does not appear on the transaction list to be reconciled. So, of course, I'm off every month. Why is this happening? I tried to delete the transaction and reenter, but that didn't help at all.
