what if every account went to 2 level security? One step would take hours to go thru the current process.
Hello @343230,
I understand the concern with having to complete a two-step verification process during updates, especially if multiple financial institutions required it.
However, these security prompts are typically enforced by the financial institution as part of their authentication requirements, rather than something Quicken is choosing to add. If Bank of Tennessee is requiring the two-step verification every time and that is not expected behavior for your account, we can help determine whether it is coming from the bank connection or the Quicken file.
One way to test this would be to create a new test file and add only the Bank of Tennessee account. If the same two-step verification prompt occurs with every One Step Update in the test file, that would indicate it is being required by the financial institution. If it does not happen in the test file, then we can look further into the existing Quicken file.
If you’d like to try the test file, let me know and I can provide the steps.
Thank you!
