I have a CC-503 error on most of my accounts (about 20 out of 25 institution logins).
I cannot find anything in Ongoing Alerts about problems with numerous institutions. (Remember this.)
I spent 3 hours with Support on Wednesday, that concluded that I would have to reset passwords and take screenshots on all of my accounts before they could escalate anything. After 6 hours of offline work, I spent over an hour with Quicken support yesterday, to find out it has nothing to do with my passwords, and they have an ongoing alert with NUMEROUS banks having CC-503 errors. (Remember, I cannot find anything in the Ongoing Alerts that support always refers us to.)
In my final hour of troubleshooting (I'm sorry I don't remember the reps name but he was one of the best I talked to, case 12477528), we figured out the problem is with any of the banks that you have to use the Quicken interface to add (or reset) the account.
- If you select Add Account and Quicken sends you to the bank login screen, that works fine.
- If you select Add Account and Quicken has you enter the user name and password in the Quicken window, we get a CC-503 every time.
There are two most upsetting parts of all of this. First, the rep kept checking if the banks we were trying were on the list of affected institutions. Some were, and some were not, but I could tell it is not a short list, and none of this information is being shared with users or the community. Second is that we really identified where in the protocol the communication was breaking down, but it seemed like the rep felt powerless to be able to communicate those findings to anyone higher up that actually could fix the problem at a program (code) level.
