Why does Quicken now shutdown and close after scanning attachment? [Edited]

Question

I updated to R68.25 yesterday.  Now when I scan a reciept to attach to the transaction it scans, I click DONE, and the Quicken program closes without saving the scan.  Happens every time now.  I can still upload a file as an attachment and it works fine.

Have you confirmed that the drivers for your scanner are up to date?

If the drivers are up to date, then the next step is to check for file-specific issues. I suggest that you try validating your data file.  Please save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

Validate:

File

Validate and Repair File…

Validate File

Click OK

Close the Data Log

Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)

Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

It just exits Quicken.  I restart it, and it's all the same, but the scanned document is not there.  Same result every time.  I've been doing this for many, many years, and I've never had a problem.   Note:  I can attach a file without issue.

I did the update by manually downloading and installing.

* When the program closes, is it acting like a program crash, or more like an intentional close?
* Have you tried manually downloading and installing the update patch?
