I have been chasing this problem for the better part of a year; I have spoken numerous times to Quicken tech support and read many of the large volume of comments in the Community forum. I have tried many of the recommended solutions, but they have not helped, and the problem persists. I have tried many of the recommended solutions, but they have not helped, and the problem persists. As I am sure you know, Fidelity shows cash as a holding (FDRXX), and Quicken normally shows it as an entry at the bottom of the register. There are choices about how Quicken will handle this in the account setup, but I cannot get them to work consistently. I force cash to show one way or the other; it works for a while and then changes. I would be overjoyed to just pick one way and stay with it. I have not been able to cleanly balance in a long while and have all kinds of adjustment entries in the mix. Given the amount of discussion on the issue I see, it seems like Quicken should have a definitive answer by now. I would love to hear it. Thanks!
