Anyone from Australia been able to get around the zip code issue when buying Quicken? Cant get past it, not even using cc or paypal to purchase. I dont want to be forced to use a cloud based software.
Use the US Zip code of the Australian embassy. It is only used if they would ever actually send a piece of snail mail and they won't.
@Jancan - While Quicken Classic is a local computer-based software you should note that you will only be able to use Quicken Classic on a manual basis. You not be able to connect it to your bansk, lenders, investment companies or other financial institutions to download any transactions nor financial data into it. This is because Quicken Classic is is designed for the US market and US financial institutions. The only other country that Quicken Classic has a product for is for Canada with some of the same restrictions.
Also, note that Quicken Classic is a subscription software that needs to be renewed each year. You will not need to purchase the renewals if you do not want to but if you do not then there will be some popup banners reminding you to renew the subscription. These banners will take up about 20%-25% of view. These banners can only be removed by purchasing the renewal.
There are other users in Australia who are OK with this and have still bought Quicken Classic. But others do want that download capability and have opted to use some other financial software (such as Reckon), instead.
Others have opted to try downloading and installing Quicken 2013 Deluxe for free. It is a totally off-line software that requires no subscription purchase. If you wish, you can try to download it from the link in Step 2 of this Support Article: https://www.quicken.com/support/how-and-when-use-intermediate-version-convert-older-versions-quicken/ .
As a final caution: There are sellers who offer non-subscription Quicken 2014 - Quicken 2017 products. Do not purchase them because they require activation codes to be entered during installation and those codes have expired many years ago. (The Quicken 2013 Deluxe does not require an activation code.)
