credit card balance has turned positive and increasing with each payment

Question

I have a business credit card and business checking at the same bank. The business credit card is a sub account  to the "corporate credit card" account but there is only one active card—mine.

I pay the card by transferring from business checking to the corporate card account online.

My transfer payments are accruing to the "corporate" account, which shows an increasing positive balance with each payment.  When I look at my online accounts, I have a balance of $489. However, Quicken shows a positive balance  greater than $10,000 in the "corporate account and a negative balance greater than $3,000 in individual business card.

Previously, Quicken worked as expected with a negative balance that would be reduced by the amount of each transfer payment.

As you're aware, the balance shown in a liability (e.g., credit card) account should normally be shown in Red … meaning that you owe the money.

If it's black (i.e., positive), a couple of things could have happened
A Payment might have been double posted

A charge might have been deleted

A Transfer to/from another account might have had the Other side deleted …  which will delete the transaction in the card account also.

SO, when was the last time that you reconciled this account?   Can you go back thru older statements and find the last time that Q and the statement agreed … and re-reconcile from there forward?
