Missing Memorized Payees [Edited]

Just did the update or more like forced to do the update and now ALL my memorized payees are gone. I add a new payee in my register and it will not even memorize it. I have tried the shortcut keys and menu options, but Quicken seemed to successfully break another feature…. Every time I do an update, Quicken breaks something.

Where is your Quicken data file stored? Is it on your local hard drive (C: Drive) or a cloud-based/external drive (e.g.: OneDrive, DropBox, USB, etc.)?
- Please provide the exact file path as shown in the example below.

Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps so far? If so, what were they?
When did this issue first start occurring?
To clarify, when you navigate to Tools > Memorized Payee list, is the list completely empty, or are your memorized payees still listed there but simply not auto-populating when you begin typing the name of a payee you know is saved while entering a transaction?

Your answers will help us diagnose the issue more effectively.

Issue started with the update pushed out last week.

Tried restoring from a previous save that was prior to update

Memorized list is completely empty, Ctrl + M doesn't work, right-clicking and selecting Memorize Payee doesn't work.

There are quit a few Categories and sub-categories missing and I cannot not add new ones. I can do the steps, but it will not retain the addition when Quicken opens again. i.e. I added Auto: Acadia. It shows up in list. I add to my entry. When I open Quicken again, it is gone.

When I select any of the Memorized Payee List, Quicken only populates the Payee field. All other fields (Category, Tag, Memo, Amount) are empty. This issue started after the last update, Release R65.29. Even when I try saving a new Memorized Payee, the same issue occurs. Validate and Repair also does not solve the problem. This is likely a bug regression from the latest update.

The symptoms you describe are usually caused by file-specific issues. You mentioned that you had already tried restoring a backup from before the update, and it did not correct the issue. To clarify, was that backup wrong (empty memorized payee list, etc.) as soon as you restored it, or did it start out correct, but go bad after you started using it?

If you haven't done so already, just in case part of the problems are being caused by the update not installing correctly, please try manually reinstalling the current update patch. I reapplied the update and nothing was fixed. Files wouldn't memorize and some categories still blank.

I opened a back up of the file that was made the day before the update. This showed the memorize and allowed me to memorize Payee's and allowed me to create and showed all my custom categories.

What this tells me, is some how the update corrupted my file so now I have to use the older file and put in a lot of new entries for the past week. If it was bank account, that would be fine, but such is not the case…

So any ideas on how to get the data from the latest corrupted file into my last known good file that works?

I have tried everything suggested, and all it did was make things worse. The software is buggy, broken, and it's time I find new software to use. I had to manually enter ALL of the months' entries due to the import causing a mess with duplicate and triplicate entries all going into one account and not their respective account. My Investing tracking is now messed up, and Quicken refuses to update. I have deleted and recreated, and it still is broken. This doesn't surprise me, as ANY AND ALL "automated" features in Quicken have always failed and caused issues.

I have been using this product for almost 30 years, and these past 2 years have been bad with all your "buggy features." I will NOT be renewing my subscription and will be taking my business elsewhere. [Edited - Readability/Language, Removed - Disruptive]
