Switched to Mac recently from Quicken PC and here are problems I have been experiencing on Transaction Data Entry
- When I am typing in the year, Quicken seems to be bouncing or helping. For example when I am having to reconcile an entry in 2018, when I start typing 2018, quicken or some key bounce, changes it to 2008. Until I noticed this, reconciliation was not going well because "entries were "lost" (in time). Is this a Mac quicken or my Mac configuration problem?
- Aside - It's a pain to enter dates not in the current year. Using the Calendar for current year entries is okay, but beyond that it's useless.
- I admit I don't understand the behavior of the numerical entry of cost and shares boxes in Transaction Data Entry. I'm never sure where the decimal place is going to show up. Price box seems better. To get it right, it's quicker to delete everything in the cost and shares boxes to make sure it's right. Would someone could just explain how to skip the delete and quickly enter data more quickly?
- One salient factor that may affect the above problems is that I am a s l o w typist. So is it me or mac quicken or both?
