Why won't Quicken contact/work with Alliance Community Bank to get their new website connection and new IP address setup? Without this Quicken users cannot download transactions from this bank.
The FIDIR.txt file (Financial Institutions Directory list file) is what tells Quicken which FIs support Quicken, with which connection methods and for what kinds of accounts and services. This list is generated by and maintained by Intuit who is Quicken's aggregator. If something needs to be fixed regarding it then Intuit will need to work with the FI to get that issue resolved.
The FIDIR shows the following for this FI. The URL in bold italics is that one that is used to connect with ACB. This is not correct? If not, what do you think it should be?:
33135 33135 33135 Alliance Community Bank https://www.bankacb.com/ 217-632-3241 https://bankacb.myebanking.net ACTIVE ACCOUNTINFO,BANKING&DIRECT BANKING&WEB-CONNECT BANKING,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA
When you try to setup downloading or try to download from them, what happens? Are you getting an error message and what is that error message?
How long has this issue been occurring for you?
Also note that, per the contract between ACB and Intuit, it's ACB's responsibility to notify Intuit IN A TIMELY MANNER, of any such changes so that Intuit has sufficient time to make the change … in queue with other such changes.
You don't get to go first just because you want such.
AND, if ACB hasn't yet notified Intuit of the change … ACB will go to the back of the line when they DO notify Intuit, because of "First Come, First Served".
