I’m requesting that Quicken restore the adjustable chart scaling that used to exist in older versions of Quicken Canada. In the current version (Business & Personal Canada 67.8), the Security Detail graph always forces the vertical axis to start at 0, even when the price range is very narrow. This makes the chart misleading and almost useless for tracking real price movement.
Older Canadian versions did allow focused charts with dynamic scaling. The U.S. edition still has this functionality. But the Canadian edition lost it, and the chart engine now shows a flat graph that hides actual price fluctuations.
This is not a minor issue. When prices move between $17 and $19, a chart that starts at 0 completely masks the changes. Users should not have to export data to Excel just to see a meaningful chart.
I’m asking the development team to restore:
- dynamic vertical axis scaling
- the ability to zoom in on price ranges
- chart settings controls
- removal of the forced zero baseline
Canadian users deserve the same chart functionality as the U.S. version, especially since we previously had it. This is a regression that should be corrected in future updates.
