Amerihome Mortgage

Question

Amerihome Mortgage will not add to my Quicken. It populates when I attempt to add a new account and when I complete the process I get an error saying that the institution has a block on their server.  Does anyone know of this issue with Amerihome? Thanks

Just my 2cents' worth …

I would not bother attempting to activate any loan or mortgage accounts for downloading. I just simply set them up as "offline" (manual) loan accounts with a Scheduled Reminder to record the monthly payment from your checking account. (Not discussing LOC or HELOC accounts here. They should be set up as offline credit card accounts)

At least in Quicken for Windows, an online-connected loan or mortgage account does NOT have a transaction register. All data shown in the account come from whatever information the bank downloads to you ... if this process works at all.

As a result of a loan being connected, the scheduled payment transaction reminder cannot transfer the amount of principal paid into the (non-existent) account register and must use a category, usually something like Mortgage:Principal, instead. The category name seems to vary with the Loan Type you selected when creating the loan account in Quicken.

The error code shown in your screenshot (CC-555) means that AmeriHome Mortgage is actively blocking Quicken’s servers from connecting to their system. Because of this block, Quicken cannot authenticate your account or pull transaction data, even if your login credentials are correct and you can sign in directly through AmeriHome's regular website.

* Server-Level Restrictions: Financial institutions periodically update their security or API policies, blocking third-party aggregators (like Quicken's Express Web Connect) on the backend.
* Not a Local Error: This issue cannot be resolved by retyping passwords, resetting your Quicken file, or reinstalling software, as the block resides on the bank's servers.

Steps to try

* Check for Quicken Community Alerts: Visit the Quicken Community Alerts Page to see if Quicken support has posted an official alert or ticket for AmeriHome Mortgage.
* Contact AmeriHome Customer Support: Call AmeriHome Mortgage and report that you are receiving a server block error (CC-555) when attempting to link your account to Quicken. This often encourages institutions to unblock Quicken aggregation servers.
* Use a Manual Account (Recommended Workaround): Since mortgage accounts typically only record one transaction per month:* Add the account in Quicken as a Manual Offline Mortgage/Liability Account.
* Set up the loan parameters (interest rate, payment amount, principal, and escrow) so Quicken automatically calculates your monthly amortization schedule without needing a live connection.

* Manual File Import: Check if AmeriHome’s web portal allows you to download statements or transaction histories in .QFX (Web Connect) format, which can be dragged directly into Quicken.
