Investment accounts are loading very slowly 2026

Following up on this post

( which was closed for some unknown reason ),

using Quicken R68.31 Classic Premier ( build 27.1.68.31 ) on "Windows 11 enterprise"
(Which is what the 'About Quicken' info says )

Any time I access a/any brokerage account inside quicken,
the Quicken program grinds slower and slower with each account transaction.
I enter my brokerage account transactions by hand. I do not use the download feature for transactions. I only use the download feature for stock quotes.

Any other account type (credit card/ checking account) transactions are just fine. Only brokerage accounts slow the program down. In fact my WHOLE COMPUTER slows down.
When I terminate the Quicken program, the computer resumes its normal speed.
When I restart the Quicken program, the first brokerage account response times are
acceptable, but as I continue to process more transactions in the account
or more to another brokerage account, the program slows down.

The thread at the beginning of this post mentions 'try this' and 'try that'.
Nothing has worked so far.

refering to "Quicken Performance Troubleshooting",

a) I tried that stuff and it fails miserably. The archive process is complete nonsense. All of my grief is documented in the original post.

b) this article assumes that the person or the person's computer is the problem. This slowness that I describe is directly related to Quicken itself. As soon as any brokerage account is accessed, the program slows down AND the performance of the machine slows down too. Again, all of this is documented in the original post.
