Navigation to the webpage was canceled

My investing portfolio view has become useless to me. I click on a security and I get "Webpage was cancelled" message. I click on the "news" icon and I get the same. I rename the cache file and one of the above works one time, and that is it.

Also, in case a SQA team is watching this blog … From a "bug" point of view I notice that if I go to "tools/securities" I can click on a security and get the correct result EVERY TIME. This tells me that the cache file is not the problem. And the developers need to look at the differences in the way the two different pieces of code do their thing. Also to note, I have moved to a current generation/fast laptop recently, with a clean install and this problem got worse.

Anyone have a work around that actually works?

Quicken WIndows Premier subscription user and I have used this since DOS.

I just checked, and I'm not seeing the same thing as you're reporting.

SO, a bit more info is needed in order to help you.

What Q product are you running and what VERSION of that product? This info is at HELP, About Quicken. Also, at the dialog, what shows as your "Subscription Valid Until …" date?

Have you tried taking a backup and then Validating your data file?

The "Navigation to the webpage was cancelled" message is from Quicken's internal browser, which it uses to display some of its pages. Sometimes the browser's cache gets corrupted. Please follow these instructions to fix this.

Shut down Quicken
In Windows explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Cache. If you don't see the C:\ProgramData folder, it is hidden by default. In Windows 11 Windows Explorer, click on View then Show and select Hidden items to show the hidden folders.
Rename or delete the Cache folder. If Quicken does not find it, it will create a new one.
Restart Quicken
