Quicken Deluxe will not run on Lenovo laptop

Question

I've had problems running Quicken Deluxe on my Lenovo laptop for over a year, but now it will not run at all. Quicken will run on my old Dell desktop computer, but not my Lenovo laptop. My laptop will run every program I've installed, but not Quicken. I've removed Quicken and reinstalled it numerous times. I've reset Windows 11, which wipes out all applications and reinstalls Windows 11. I've run sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Nothing works.

Any helpful comments would be appreciated. If I could find another program like Quicken that works, I would jump ship in a minute. I've used Quicken for many years.

Some of these may seem obvious, but just checking …

What happens when you try to run Quicken? Do you get an error message? If so what is the message?

Where is your data file stored? It should be directly on the Levono's hard drive, not shared via OneDrive or on any cloud service.

What happens if you hold down Ctrl and Shift and double click on the Quicken icon on your desktop? This will skip trying to open your data file, and you should get a blank Quicken window with just File and Help in the menu.

so I'd expect things to work just fine.

I do see that Windows S mode is not supported, but I assume that's not an element of your problem?

I wonder if Lenovo support might not be able to help you get Quicken running properly.
