I am trying to add a Paypal credit account and I keep getting the same error.
I tried it with the regular Paypal option and it does not locate the credit account.
I'm running Quicken Classic Premier, vR68.31, Build 27.1.68.31 on Windows 11.
Thanks.
If waiting 24 hours, and trying again, doesn't help … try contacting Q Support via the link at the top of this page … NOT via a Google search (they're scammers)
This is most likely a PayPal issue, rather than a Q issue as the 2 names for Paypal actually connect to the same website at PayPal
I found older posts from last year with the same issue. I don't think I saw a resolution.
@Michael Rosen, @NotACPA
I am having a similar problem trying to activate one step update for a Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union credit card.
In my case I try connecting using either "Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Un" or "Mid-Atlantic FCU Credit Card". With … FCU Credit Card I get the result Michael is seeing. When trying with …Credit Un I just don't get the credit card account found; my other accounts (checking, savings, etc.) are found.
Looking at Cloud Sync Log when trying …FCU Credit Card, I found many lines containing the following:
{"errors":[{"title":"An internal error occurred while processing your request [RequestId = null]. Please try again later.","httpStatus":500,"code":"QCS-0500","extData":{"exception":"NoSuchElementException: No value present"}}]}
It is preceded by a line containing date and time. E.g. :
<!-- ***** RECV from https://services.quicken.com/institution-logins/540684616496595456/poll at 15:29:45 on 20260630 ***** -->
These all occur during the time frame of the connection attempt. It seems that Quicken just gives up eventually
Trying again does not help me.
I have contacted Quicken support on the issue of not being able to connect my credit card for one step update and have a trouble ticket. When the problem started trying to connect with either …Credit Un or …FCU Credit Card got the same results: finding my checking and savings accounts but not finding the credit card account. A month or two later the error started occurring with …FCU Credit Card and I submitted a problem report pointing to my ticket. I periodically try to connect the credit card hoping that it will get fixed. So far no fix.
Please report back on any progress or additional data on this. I am hoping to see something that might be applicable to me. E.g.: do you see the same exceptions in the Cloud Sync Log?
Thanks
Jim
Where do I find the Cloud Sync Log?
Help → Contact Support → Log Files… → Cloud Sync Log
You've already got your own thread going on this issue. "Me-too posts" aren't really helpful.
Also. in order to search the log file, you'll have to Save As… after Help → Contact Support → Log Files… → Cloud Sync Log.
Unless some one knows another way.
The thread you pointed to is a thread about adjustment transactions.
But, yes, I do have a thread that includes incidents similar to the OP's issue but is not limited to that. I thought my experience might be helpful to OP or the community, including moderators and Q support, in resolving his issue and, if his issue is resolved, his experience might be helpful to me.
My feeling is that the more data you have to solve a problem, the more likely you are to solve the problem. A me-to post, particularly my post which did supply more data (suggestion to look at Cloud Sync Log, context of encountering problem, financial institution involved) is simply more data.
If you are going to convince me that me-too posts are not helpful, you are going to have supply some reasoning behind that.
But this thread is not the appropriate forum for that discussion. If you want, open an other thread, including me as an addressee, about me-too posts. Let's see what others, especially moderators, in the community think.
Your first sentence, of the post above, says "similar problem", making this a 'me-too".
Well, I just tried connecting my Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union credit card account using "Mid-Atlantic FCU Credit Card". After more than a month of consistently getting the same error pop-up that the OP reports, it no longer does that. It "finds" the credit card account but, based on the balance, it really is the checking account. So still not working. Just not working in a different way.

Having the Same Issue for about a week. I thought they had it fixed as it worked for a while, but somehow something broke again
I just tried this again today and today it's changed.
Today, selecting Paypal Credit, Mastercard and Crypto now takes me through the browser to logon.
But it then just showed me just one of my accounts in Paypal.
I'm just trying it again now, and now it sent back to logging in through Quicken, same error.
I tried again last night and suddenly it worked and I was able to add the account.
