Situation:
You've instructed Quicken to treat Money Money (sweep) funds as cash in your investment account. Yet, when you click into Holdings, you see a number of shares at $1 each.
Solution:
In the transactions screen, scroll back and examine every entry where a dividend was paid from the Money Market account. Mine is called Fidelity Government Money Market. Yours could be called SPAAX or something else. The number of shares should be zero. If it is any other number, click Edit, then click Save. Now look again, and it should be zero. Do this for every Money Market entry in your register. Now your Holdings screen should make no mention of a money market position.
How did this get so messed up? [Edited - Language]
Quicken has had trouble handling sweep accounts for quite a while. They seem to have corrected most of the issues, except the fixes don't get applied retroactively. You have to do that manually. Opening an edit screen and saving forces Quicken to apply the fix.
