I have been having this same problem for 3 weeks with CIT Bank Online. I'm using the Windows version of Quicken, but I didn't see this discussion there. I got a variety of errors over the last 3 weeks, with Quicken gradually deactivating my CIT Bank accounts one by one until all 3 are now deactivated. Whenever I try to reactivate them I get a CC-503 currently. I can log into my web account with the same credentials just fine. I have been sending my logs and error reports to Quicken regularly but the problem persists. Since that didn't get me anywhere, I'm seeing if joining this thread might get some results. Any signs this might resolve soon?
Hello @Jim Ostell,
Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue! I moved your post to a separate discussion because the error code you're seeing is not one of the ones from the known issue.
To troubleshoot, please backup your Quicken file and follow these steps from our article on CC-503 errors:
New passwords: If you are required to make a new password, be aware that some special characters may cause errors in Quicken. These special characters are the ampersand (&), left carat (<), right carat (>), backslash (\), and forward slash (/). Additionally, while Quicken does not have a character limit, your bank may have one.
After the reset process is complete, attempt your online session again.
Try Deactivating and Reactivating the affected accounts:
I hope this helps!
OK, I did all that. I found one issue, corrected it, and now I get a different error.
What I corrected..
I'm using 1PassWord for a password vault.. both for the website and for Quicken.. so I know I'm using the same UserName and Password (but, I also looked to make sure, as you suggested). That's when I realized that when I logged into CIT Bank website, that CIT Bank changed MyUserName (not my real username, just an example) to MyUse….. (wrote over letters with dots). And 1PassWord asked if I wanted to update my login info.. I said "yes" and in 1PassWord it also changed the username to MyUse….. Strangely, that continued to work on the CIT Bank Website reliably, and even occasionally in Quicken. Anyway, in 1PassWord I changed the username back to MyUserName. I confirmed that worked logging into the CIT Bank website.
Different error
Thinking I fixed the problem, I went back to Quicken and tried to reactivate the account using MyUserName. There was a long wait while it said "Looking for your accounts" and then it briefly showed that it was connecting, then said it was unable to connect to CIT Bank. No error code. Just "Try again" or "Cancel". I tried again and it failed again the same way. To verify, I went back to the CIT Bank website and confirmed I could login using the same credentials and that I was using the correct MyUserName.
I just did "Report a Problem" from Quicken to send you my logs.

Thank you for your reply,
I'm glad to hear you were able to correct the CC-503 error!
When I check our internal tools, I see the new error is a CC-506 error. That might be associated with the known issue, although the error code is still different:
Since the CIT Bank Online is not working, please backup your Quicken file, and try connecting using the other connection option: CIT Bank N.A New Login.
