CIT Bank not working as of 20260819. Error FDP-101. Cannot Connect
Having the same issue with the Quicken Direct tool. Never connecting to the bank and deactivate/reactivate accomplishes nothing.
Just to investigate I downloaded a QFX file from the bank and imported it into Quicken using the Web Connect connection type which was successful.
Established a Quicken help ticket today. Friday morning August 21.
just doubling down on the previous posts. same issues. Deactivate/reactivate is no use.

Broken for me too, again. Worked evening of 8/19/26, broke since at least evening of 8/20/26. Reported a problem through the app.

Hello Everyone - I received an email this afternoon from Quicken support (Ticket ID 12561131) advising that the connection issues with CIT Bank has been resolved. Unfortunately there is no change on my end even after relaunching the program and reconnecting my accounts with CIT Bank. Multiple error codes: FDP-101; CC-601; FDP-106; CC-506.
Why do we have multiple threads addressing this same issue with moderators Anja, Laura, Kristina?
I just tried it and the first time it said the accounts on CiT didn't match my Quicken accounts (which isn't true, I haven't change either in quite a while) and to reconnect. That didn't work so I disconnected the account entirely and tried to connect using CiT Bank Online and CiT Bank N.A. New Login. All three give me:
Please try again later.
Care Code: FDP-102
Details: FI_TIMEOUT Access Denied
So… still broken 😥

I started doing that, starting with CIT Bank N.A New Login, and… it worked 🤷♂️ I then did another update just to make sure the connection and first update weren't a fluke, and that worked too. I don't have any transactions to download, so can't comment on that part, but it did connect without error.
I tried the method above but to no avail. I sent in the logs and error as requested. I also tried to add a new account using the CIT Online (which I was using originally), and that failed too.
I'm glad to hear that it worked!
@gulger99,
Thank you for letting us know that the issue persists and for sending the logs! It will help our teams investigate.

Thank you Carlos - changing to "CIT Bank Online" worked for me. My story: After deactivating in desperation, I was unable to reconnect to the "CIT Bank N.A. New Login" in August. After reading this post, I went to Tools-Add account, and added using "CIT Bank Online". Quicken let me link to my existing account.
Quick update: was working again for a day, today not working again. I'm simply going to abandon the effort for now since for me, CIT is just a savings account that I collect interest on so only need to do monthly and I can do that manually. I will say that since disconnecting the account from online update over the past week (until I just tried again), my general updates to my accounts are back to "normal" speed (under a minute versus 3 minutes or more sometimes). I've realized now that the reason for the slowdown was apparently the CIT Bank connection. I will check again in a month or so to see if the connection issues have been fixed but to me, no big loss, just disappointing. Quicken Mac user.
Hello @blubkeman,
Thank you for sharing your experience! To clarify, it seemed to be resolved earlier (aside from the slowness you mentioned), but now it isn't working again?
I look forward to your response!
Correct. I had disconnected my connection (the "New" one that had been around for months) and then tried to reconnect per your suggestions to both connections. The "New" one worked once, but the next day when I did account updates, it threw the same error. I haven't attempted to reconnect again since the note I sent yesterday and don't plan to unless you ask me to. Thanks!
Alternating between days with success & failure connecting to CIT Bank. Some days CIT Bank Online works, other days CIT Bank N.A. New Login works & then there are days with neither working bu Web Connect downloads of QFX files does work. Whether there is success connecting can also change over the course of the day? Nothing consistent. Reported a problem with screen shots uploaded. Today codes FDP-106 & FDP-105 popped up.
Hello @jon857,
Thank you for letting us know that the issue is intermittently persisting and for sending the logs!
I forwarded the information to our teams.
Connecting with CIT Online has been working for me the past week but this morning I am getting the same error. Ugh!
Hello @danielwilson9304,
Thank you for letting us know you're still encountering issues. To clarify, which error(s) are you seeing? Is it intermittently working, or are you completely unable to connect?
When I tried this morning it said the accounts in Quicken don't match those on CiT, which is simply wrong, and said I had to reconnect. I went through that and that worked, so at least for now it seems to still be working for me, although the whole thing still seems kind of flaky.
