Has a request been made to add "match manually" when accepting brokerage transactions?

Question

I transferred a single security holding between Vanguard Accounts.  When I started the process of accepting the downloaded transaction in the "from" account, Quicken let me chose the "to" account and when done, this resulted in a number of transactions between the accounts — one for each lot.  Perfect.  However, in the "to" account, I could not accept the downloaded transaction as it was for the total.  We need a choice, under edit, to match manually so I can select each of the lots.

To clarify:  yes, I could have accepted the downloaded transaction but it would have resulted in additional shares.

When I clicked on edit, there was no option to match manually.  I see this option in banking (e.g., checking) registers.

Again, to be clear, this is not a big deal:  I just marked the correct transactions (transferred lots) as cleared and deleted the downloaded transaction in the target account.  I'll consider the idea post.  Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your experience! To clarify, was the account not letting you accept the transaction at all, or were you able to accept it, but doing so would have made your balances incorrect?

You can typically match manually; however, based on what you described, Quicken doesn't let you match one transaction to multiple transactions.

Probably the simplest fix is to backup your Quicken file, delete the downloaded transaction, and mark the transactions generated when you accepted the downloaded transaction on the "from" side as Cleared.
