Can't enter a reinvestment for a ETF

Question

I run Windows 11 Home Ver R69.53

On 8/31/2026 I brought some shares of Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP).  I created the security and added the purchase transaction to my Quicken account.  Move forward to today and I have received a reinvested dividend on my Fidelity statement.  I go to my Quicken account and click on reinvest divy and enter Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF and nothing comes up.  I go to Tools and Security List and its there.

Why was I able to post original purchase and Quicken won't let me post the reinvested divy?

Thanks for the help.

I deleted the purchase transaction and took it out of my security list.  re-entered the purchase transaction as RSP and Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF pops up.  I was then able to enter the reinvestment transaction.

Perhaps there is something wrong about the security name when you created the security. If you enter the ticker symbol RSP for the security name, can you record the reinvestment?

The only thing I can see is that in some listings of RSP, there is a trademark symbol after the 500 and that may be confusing Quicken. Here is Morningstar's listing

If I type Invesco equal weight when creating the security in Quicken, RSP appears in the listing

A common issue I have seen reported is when the Quicken security is given a Security Type of Market Index.  That type is not intended for actual traded securities.  If the Security list for that security shows type as Market Index, edit the security to change the type to Stock, Mutual Fund, or some other type.
