I don't know if the fact that this only happens with IRA registers is significant or not. I have 4 accounts with Morgan Stanley. If I pick any of the 3 IRA accounts, I see no transactions, just the no placeholders message. If I choose the non IRA account, it shows the transactions. My tracking on all registers is 'complete'.
The interesting thing is that if I exit Quicken, and enter it again, the register shows transactions normally until I choose a different register and then go back to the IRA register again which then shows the 'no placeholder' message again,
As a test, I opened Quicken, viewed a bank record and then viewed the IRA register. It displayed fine. I then viewed another register and then went back to the IRA registerer and it showed 'no placeholders' again. I only have IRAs in Morgan Stanley, so I can't check if Morgan Stanley has anything to do with this. It just looks like viewing the IRA account breaks something.
