Quicken Deluxe 2018.Win 10 I am unable to correctly use the min gain function when spceifing which shares I am selling. I also have shares showing that I have sold. The balance is correct but sold shares are are still showing I have validated and rebuilt investment lots

    You don't say what about the minimum gain function is not working, but try this:

    First back up your data file in case something goes wrong.

    Then, make sure there are no Placeholders for this security in this account. If you have not already, go to Edit > Preferences > investment Transactions and make sure Show hidden transactions is checked. Then resolve any placeholders that affect your holdings for this security.

    Then in the Holdings view go back in time until the tax lots for this security display correctly, then go forward to identify any sales where the lots are not to your liking and edit these to correct any errors.

    When you are done, your tax lots should be correct.
