At the very top of your Q window, starting immediately after the RED Q logo, what does it say?
Also, when you do HELP, About Quicken, what does it show as the Build/Release of your product?

I'm running version R18.15, Build 27.1.18.15 (Year 2019) of Quicken - Home, Business & Rental Property.

No matter which of these I do (Business > Business Reports,  Reports > Business, Reports & Graphs Center > Business), I have the same set of reports and menus.
    Accounts Payable
    Accounts Receivable
    Balance Sheet
    Cash Flow
    Cash Flow Comparison
    Missing Checks
    Payroll
    Profit and Loss Comparison
    Profit and Loss Statement
    Project/Job by Business Tag
    Project/Job by Project
    Schedule C
Tax Schedule (for export to Turbo Tax)

    There is no Banking submenu.

The Tax Schedule Report gives me the list of payments received, but it would be nice to have a report that detailed payments by customer and invoice.

Look for REPORTS>Banking>Transactions.  As previously stated "Transactions" isn't a Business report ... it's available to ALL account types.

You are correct about it being under the main reports (contrary to the documentation). It would still be nice to be able to see a report that listed payments by customer and invoice.

You CAN do that ... using the various Report customizing tools available via the GEAR icon.

Also, you're misinterpreting the instructions given.  The Reports link is on the main command line ... not under the Business tab.

    From C. D. Bales:

    "There is no Banking submenu."

    - There IS a "Banking submenu"; just not where you're looking for it, because Banking is not a "business" submenu. The Banking > Transaction report is not a business report - therefore it will not appear directly in any Business group of reports.

    - As I said earlier, you can access the Banking > Transactions report "directly from the Quicken Reports menu". The Quicken Reports menu is found in the Quicken menu row - the row that typically starts with "File" as the leftmost choice, the row that is immediately below the Quicken Title bar. Starting in the Quicken menu row, the path to the report you want is: Reports > Banking > Transactions.

    - You can also get to the Banking > Transactions report starting from the Business tab, but there is a step missing in the path you quoted in your original post. So, if you must begin on the Business tab, the full path would be: Business (tab) > Reports (button) > All Reports > Banking > Transactions. "All Reports" was left out of the Quicken support directions you tried to follow.
