Updating existing security price data using a .csv file

Importing security price data using a .csv file used to work that existing data would be updated. I noticed with Quicken Deluxe for Windows version R20.15 it is no longer happens. If you want to change existing data, you first must delete it and then import the updated data. I don't know with which Quicken patch it changed. Has anyone else encountered this?

Can you explain why you are importing price data manually when you can have Quicken provide the data for you?

The securities are listed on an exchange that Quicken doesn't provide data for.

I wasn't aware of the priority order applicable to loading security prices, and it explains the problem I had. Thank you very much, Jim and Dan!
