Sync with Windows?

So I installed the latest version on Windows and Mac, and if I log in on my iPhone or web it shows all the data I've entered from Windows, but my Mac seems incapable of connecting to Quicken's cloud service.

Am I missing something here, or is the Mac version limited?

The Quicken Cloud sync is not meant to sync between Quicken on Windows and Mac. It only syncs between one desktop installation of Quicken (Windows OR Mac) and multiple mobile devices.

Is there a recommended way to have transactions on both? Could I keep the file on Nextcloud or Dropbox and have them both access the same file? Or do the two versions not use a compatible file format..
