Transferring program/data from old computer to new one

How do I transfer my Quicken 2018 Starter Edition software/data files from my old computer to my new one. My old one has Windows 10 Home on it and the new one has Windows 10 also. I tried to copying the whole Quicken file to a flash drive and then installing it on the new computer but it says I'm missing a mfc100.dll data file which is a Windows system file. I found that file and also tried to transfer to Windows on the new computer but that didn't help.

From your new PC, you need to go to quicken.com , sign in then go to My Account. From there you will be able to download the software installer. You will want to copy your latest data file to a flash drive or cloud service and place into the Documents/Quicken folder before launching the installer. When the installation is complete, Quicken should launch and find your data file for your acceptance.
