How to reorder accounts?

How do we reorder accounts in the left margin? The groups & subgroups are totally fine, but I'd like to reorder the accounts WITHIN THEIR SUBGROUPS.

  Currently there is no way. The work-around is to use some prefix to manage the sorting. We have been told something is in the works (but no timeline), here:
  Add option to sort Accounts in Sidebar.
