Importing QFX files into separate accounts

I tried creating new accounts and selecting them before the import, but it still merges into previous import.
I know I found a work around for this in the past, but can't remember it now.
Any suggestions welcome

Ok. I get it. You mean tag all the existing ones before importing the new ones, as in ones already in the register, not existing ones in the import data set. Somehow I read that differently. Thx for clarifying.

@elfrock why would you be trying to import transactions from the same account into 2 separate account registers? I'm sure you know that makes reconciliation more difficult. Just curious.

Sorry but maybe I misunderstood your original suggestion... your original reply was "to put a tag... before import"... Batch editing would be after import.

Thanks for the tag suggestion. That works.0

@smayer97 I wasn't trying to import from the same account. But from two different institutions into one account. Sorry for not being clear.0
