See this both these replies by another SU:Bottom line is that this conversion will ONLY work if you do not have investments. Even when it does work, it still has limitations.

I think you are confusing the QXF and QFX file formats (not surprising since the names are so similar).
QFX is the file format used by FIs/Banks to import transaction data.
Instead, if you are migrating your data file from QMac to QWin, you create the QXF Windows export file from QMac then you have to use some function in QWin to import that into a NEW data file in QWin.
Note that one of the things that will NOT carry back to QWin from QMac are investment records. Otherwise, it should be ok.Have Questions? Help Guide for Quicken for Mac

I'm still stumped, how do I convert the QXF file to a QDF file? My bank transaction downloads are also by default QXF files. I was willing to start a new data file if necessary but not if the downloads don't even work.0

In QMac; File > Export > Quicken Windows Transfer File (QXF)
In QWin; File > File Import > Quicken Transfer Format (QXF) FileQWin & QMac (Deluxe) Subscription

I'm obviously missing something. The program won't open either of the converted Quicken QXF file or the downloaded QFX files from my Bank. I get an Unknow Error message when I try to run the Quicken QXF file.
I've also tried to download the US Mondo Patch update just in case there was a file glitch, but I get an unknown Error Creating Process message.0 -
I figured it out. in the opening window, rather than select New Account I was trying to Restore From Existing File. I started a new file and once opened as New you can Import the QXF and QFX files and delete any extra files created. It would be helpful if there was more information on the opening window to guide the sequence.0
