  What's an "snc"?

  And, you need to re-install the Q program.  It's not part of the backup of your data files.

  SO, if you installed from CD, just re-install using the CD.

  If you installed from download, see if there's a file in your Downloads folder that has a Q name.

  THEN, you can restore from a backup file that you created.
  

  BUT NOTE, that the "Quicken Cloud" isn't a backup.  It's only a partial representation of your data.

  Have no idea what that text is actually asking - please clarify what you are asking ????

  1 - You need to re-install the Quicken software -
  2 - What version do you think you were using ?
  3 - After you install the Quicken software, you need to restore your data
  from a Quicken Backup file that is not located on your hard disk
  4 - Open your Quicken software and open your restored Quicken data file

  SO.... TWO key points -
  - What version of Quicken - will dictate where to get another copy
  - Do you have a backup of your data - that is not on your hard disk ?
