Trying to update account info - Quicken ID screen hangs blankly

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭
I'm trying to update my account settings - reset or deactivate same result - and the quicken id screen opens and sits on top staring at me blankly.
What do i need to do to make it work?

If you haven't already, I suggest you reset the Quicken ID associated with the data file:
- Select Edit > Preferences...
- Select Quicken ID, Sync & Alerts
- Select Sign in as a different user
- Enter yes
- Select Sign Out
- Sign in with your Quicken ID

Addendum: When I do get a screen to display - e.g., opening quicken - I enter my login info and I get an "oops. something went wrong." message. there is a link but it takes me to a page that tells me to do what i'm trying to do. it's a cycle and I end up at the place I started.0
