    Which version of Quicken are you using?  (Help -> About Quicken)
    Which settings?

    Some settings are stored in the data file, and some are store in the user config files under:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

    Well those are definitely in the Quicken data file.  I have no idea why they would change.
    You might try restoring from a backup.

    So much for my statement "Well those are definitely in the Quicken data file."  I just checked again and they aren't in the data file.  So somehow one or more of the files in:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming

    did get changed.  I'm sorry I misinformed you.

    I occasionally find my settings changed after updating to a new version. Some get randomly reset to defaults, others don't. I can't discern a pattern.
    In addition to %APPDATA%, there's also stuff squirreled away in C:\ProgramData\Quicken

    Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Biz & Personal Subscription (US) on Win10 Pro.

    P.S. The full path for the one I gave is actually: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Quicken  (%APPDATA% == C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming)

    Note C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Quicken is user level settings, and C:\ProgramData\Quicken is machine level.

    I just checked for the fonts and they are at user level.

    If the size of dialog boxes changed then either this setting has changed:
    View -> Use Large Fonts

    Or your Windows scaling in the Setting for the Desktop have changed.

    Right click on a blank part of your Desktop and select Display Settings:
    See/change the "percent" setting under Scale and layout
