HOW DO I RESTORE A QUICKEN FILE FROM TIME MACHINE

Assuming your Quicken data file is in the default location and you haven't moved it…

• In the Finder, hold down the Option key and select Library from the Go menu. (Library is headed in that menu unless the Option key is held down.)
• Open Application Support
• Open Quicken
• Now Enter Time Machine on the Time Machine menu in your top menu bar.
• On the right side of Time Machine, navigate back in time to whatever day you want to restore from.
• You can then find your live data file (from that backup time) in the Documents folder, or your most recent backups (from that time) in the Backups folder.
• Once you identify the file you wish to restore, click it once to highlight it, then click Restore.

If you're afraid over over-writing your current file (e.g. you might possibly want to return to it), you might want to rename it (in the Finder) before you do the restore.
