Quicken Hangs, Becomes Non-responsive

Options
On every launch and loading, Quicken is painfully slow. It displays a blank screen and the cursor hourglass icon for many minutes – sometimes 10 to 20 minutes. Windows Resource Monitor shows status as “Not Responding” It sometimes recovers and loads, then becomes non-responsive/hung again.

Also, once fully loaded, Quicken becomes non-responsive for 5 to 10 minutes or more, intermittently. The program displays the cursor hourglass and appears hung. Windows Resource Monitor shows status as “Not Responding”. After many minutes the application may or may not begin to respond. Sometimes the application must be terminated.

I have already super-validated the data fill which showed no errors.
Any other suggestion?

    Hello @michealdowns

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. How long has this been happening for?  How large is your file?  Is your file on your local disk or on a cloud?

One thing that you're able to try next would be a mondo patch if you haven't done so would be a good next step. The article and instructions for the mondo patch can be found here.

When you get a chance try it out and let us know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Quicken Francisco

What is the full path to the folder that contains your Quicken data file? Do you have Controlled Folder Access enabled in Windows Defender? Are you using OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Backup?

This buggy behavior is just since the most recent update.
No online access until i attempt to do an online sync - no dropbox or etc.
No to downloading anything until i manually select it.
That is except the Q program updates which are automatic.

The classic routine of uninstall/reboot/reinstall/reboot/run does seems to resolve the issue.
    Thanks for all suggestions.
