Cannot get into my Quicken with Windows 10

I am so fed up with this after all the other issues I have had with Quicken. Now I get the start up page and cannot get into Quicken unless I use my flash drive to restore data. When I finally get into it it won't let me safely eject my flash drive saying I must close out other programs, which I do not have any other programs open.
Then I tried backing up with an external hard drive (and I know how to do that, have done it for years) it pops up a message that data has not been backed up.
I am so terribly frustrated. Ready to start looking for another program.
Why in the world can they not fix these issues???????

If you aren't already, I suggest you access the Quicken file in a folder on an internal drive using a short (8.3) name (for example, QData.QDF). Do not allow other programs to access the Quicken file while it is open in Quicken (for example, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, MegaSync).
