Problem with Reconciliation - Date of last reconciliation given as 31/12/2020 (wrong!!!)

Should I make this a Discussion rather then a question and include screen shots?
I am using Quicken for Mac 2007 16.2.4 on OS X 10.9.5
I have been using Quicken for many years & rely upon it.

    I have no transactions (in any account) dated 31/12/2020 and if I try Activities > Prior Statements, Quicken hangs (I have to Force Quit) I select "Ignore" from the "The total of the previously reconciled items ... does not match..." screen before getting the 'Reconcile Startup' screen with the 31/12/2020 date For the beginning balance.
