Print portfolio no longer prints to excel?

When portfolio is on the screen, there is a option File:Print Portfolio that has allowed export to Text, Excel, and 1-2-3 for just about forever.

The print to excel doesn't work. When you chose it says it will print to a txt file and does.

Any suggestions?

    Choose it and see what happens. It tries to save a text file (it used to be a comma delimited file.)

    That ancient dialog needs some correction.
    Printing to a tab-delimited file results in a .txt file.
    Printing to a 123-compatible file results in a .prn file.
    Excel doesn't handle these well with those file extensions. Rename them to be .csv files and Excel will open them more gracefully. The PRN (123) format is true CSV and works well except for the file extension.

    Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, as of 2025 using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro & Win11 Pro on 2 PCs.

    To build on RJS's comment, if you choose 123 format but give the file a CSV extension, you can generally open it directly in Excel with out going thru the text file import process.
