Duplicate Check Numbers

I've used Quicken for many years and I'm about to hit 10,000 with my check numbers so the bank is requiring me to start over with 1001. How do I keep Quicken from flagging duplicates when I do a bank download or enter numbers manually? Thanks.

You could also start a new account in Quicken, transferring the current balance of the old account to the new account.  If it is setup for downloads, then you would also deactivate the old one and activate the new one.
Another option if it is setup for bill pay and a lot of trouble to make all of the changes, you could create the new account, move all/most of the  transactions to the new account (including the transfer to move the balance) and continue using the old account and not have to go thru the de-re-activation of online banking.
A third option would be to do an edit/replace on the oldest transactions and blank out their Check # since by this time, the check # probably isn't important any longer.
