Does Quicken 19 run on Windows 10 home 32 bit edition? If yes, does there have to be a folder called program files (x86) on the C drive?
Also, how does your information about your subscription get into the "about Quicken" in the help button?
Thanks

Yes Quicken will run on Windows 10 Home 32-bit.

And on "program files (x86)", there isn't a "Program Files (x86)" in Windows 10 32-bit, only "Program Files".

The reason there is a "Program Files" and a "Program Files (x86)" on Windows 64-bit is because it can run both 32-bit programs and 64-bit programs.

Windows needs to keep them separate so they created "Program Files (x86)" for storing the 32-bit programs, and 64-bit programs go into "Program Files".

Quicken is a 32-bit program, and as such on Windows 32-bit it is installed in "Program Files", but on Windows 64-bit it is installed in "Program Files (x86)".

Note that if they put out a version of Quicken that was 64-bit, they would have to also maintain a 32-bit version for this very reason, so that is one reason that they don't do that.

Thanks for the answer. I have Quicken on several computers. The one that is 32 bit won't run Quicken, so there must be something else preventing it from running.

Well I know that it can run because I have an old test laptop running Windows 10 Professional 32-bit and Quicken runs on it just fine.  The differences between Home and Professional shouldn't make a difference at all.

I have that setup because I use it from time to time to test some very old programs for my work.  Those programs are 16-bit and as such can't run on a 64-bit Windows.  Quicken 32-bit can run 16-bit and 32-bit programs.

What kind of errors are you getting that prevent it from running?

And I'm curious of why you are running Windows 10 32-bit?

When I upgraded to Windows 10 on that computer I choose 32 bit. I have a lot of apps on that computer that I don't have updates for, so I don't want to lose them by updating to 64 bit
